Can i take ginseng if i'm am on plaquenil

So far I have no more energy than when I first started and has developed neuropathy which I have just found out from Web MD that this neuropathy is one of the side effects of this med! Saying that by stopping this it would take another 6 months to build up the benefit. There are other meds that can help with what you are experiencing, and if your doctor didn't address that then I would seek out a second opinion... Please don't stop your plaquenil until you are sure it is the right thing to do and in your best interest.

I’m so lazy now and fat and out of shape then when I get to PAWS it gets even worse – I don’t want to leave the house. I am struggling. I’m tapering as much as I can my BF holds the pills but he doesn’t understand how tapering works. He just tells me to take less and then is frustrated when I won’t get off the couch. I am sorry to hear you can't take plaquenil, it's a great med and I can't go without it. I have heard toxicity is very rare and usually only happens if you've been on plaq for many many years 20+ or take it in high doses, more than the standard 400 mg. Plaquenil is a 6-weeker as far as the benefits are concerned, but it would be more dangerous to stop if you spend a lot of time outside and if this were the summer. Or maybe another doctor if you're not comfortable w/your current one.

  5. Jun 05, 2014 I'm sure the Siberian Ginseng is also helping with energy. I think everyone should be taking Cat's Claw though. Will start 2 drops of it tomorrow. I'm hoping the addition of herbs will finally help make me feel better as more than 1.5 years of antibiotics is not getting me better.
